Grebe company

It is almost 60 degrees this morning, and the robins are singing and chattering as if it were spring. But the flag outside my window says the wind is coming from the northwest, so no doubt it will cool off. I hope the turtles and frogs don’t come up out of the muck and get stuck in the cold.

Later- It IS colder! On a midday walk I saw that the pied-billed grebe now has company.
