Dennis took me to friend’s farm on Sunday, where he has been made welcome to harvest whatever they have. What’s there now is mostly peppers, which Dennis really did pickle. There was also a field of melons, dried on the outside and rotting on the inside, which to me looked like something out of a sci-fi movie.
