In town for a couple days for a seminar. In the cab from the airport yesterday the driver complained about all the people and traffic slowing him down, and was already worrying about the upcoming Democratic convention. The American Institute of Architects convention is in town, 30,000 or so people, and everything over near the Reading Market, where I walked once I got settled, was crowded as an ant colony, so I sought quieter spaces in the Historic District.
