Warm trumpeters

IMG_0558We went up the river on the Illinois side today to see the eagles, and on the way stopped by Riverlands, where there have been record numbers of trumpeter swans this winter. It was a warm day- almost 60- and lots of folks were out to see eagles. We saw many riding the ice flows in the river, remnants of last week’s cold, but I took no pictures. Here are some trumpeter swans and a great blue heron:
