Predatory sounds

This morning in the quiet dark I heard a cat scream, a quick, startled outburst, followed by the stirrings and twitterings of birds, then silence. I suspect that Bubo, the Great Horned Owl, got one of the cats that roams the neighborhood at night. I later pictured the cat, absorbed in watching its own prey, likely a bird on the roost, set upon by the owl- predator got by predator.
