April 1st- Today I took my bicycle out for a spin for the first time this spring. I want a city made for bicycles! My reluctance to ride more often has largely to do with the mingling of bicycles with cars on the streets, and the distractedness of drivers these days, or worse, their rudeness or downright contempt. But complaints aside, it felt good to ride again. I had aimed for a leisurely ride but I love my bicycle so much that it’s hard to go slow and I gave up pretending to be a casual rider. That’s for another day.
