On Wednesday night Dennis and I joined a friend and his son at The Old Rock House to see Junior Brown play that strange-looking double-neck guitar of his. He plays it like they’ve known each other forever. Been awhile since I’ve been out late to hear music and we got to see some strange dancing ladies and bouncers in action, and the first act made my ears hurt, those strong-voiced ladies sang so loud. Junior Brown chastised the audience for putting their drinks at the edge of the stage. He stopped the band in the middle of a song, said “Get your drinks off the stage. This is not a bar, this is not a table, this is a STAGE.” Then went right back to playing. Loved to watch him play that guitar.
