On a walk just now I saw:
Black-crowned night heron.
Goose sitting on her nest, the male hissed at me as I walked past, even though the nest was on the other side of the water.
Martins are in their martin house.
Turtles.
And in our garden the columbine is almost blooming, the wild gernanium, celandine poppies, and lilies of the valley, my very favorite spring fragrance.
Other news: Dennis is hatching a plan with neighbors and friends to don possum costumes and picket our possum-killing neighbor’s house. To be continued…
