Today we went to Riverlands to see what birds might be staying there or migrating through, and went on up the river a bit. But the warmth (50 degrees) and the sun through the car windows were soporific and we cut short our expedition to come home and nap, but instead visited a friend and began cooking dinner. That’s one thing I had imagined, if I were to lose my job, naps. In the warm sun, like a cat. We saw few birds, we usually see more on cold, cloudy days. But we did see a couple of eagles, some harriers hunting over the fields, and some trumpeter swans in a distant pond.
