I deleted my Facebook account yesterday. The Orwellian quality of all that data mining and targeted advertising has creeped me out for quite some time. The final straw was when I was invited to participate in a research study just after I’d had my annual health check-up. How do they know what they know, the bastards? Enough. No way to avoid it anymore, internet data mining, but at least I won’t participate in that forum. Shame of it is I enjoyed seeing what my friends posted, but the discomfort of the creepies finally outweighed the benefit.  Goodbye Facebook.
