I like winter. This winter, though, has been unusually harsh so far. Zero again this morning. Nonetheless, I saw two women bicycling to work, all bundled up. That is some radical bicycling. And there have been small mishaps- a busted water pipe during the descent of the polar vortex a couple weeks ago which, fortunately, we were equipped to fix ourselves, all the plumbers being too busy. And two days ago a man rear-ended my car when he couldn’t stop soon enough on the ice, no one hurt but time needed to call insurance companies etc. All luxury problems, of course- we HAVE pipes to bust and a car to get run into- but I think I will be glad to see spring this year! There are lots of Canada geese on the ponds in Forest Park. They are equipped for this weather.
