I saw a kingfisher sitting utterly still this morning on my ride in, still and quiet on a willow branch overlooking the lake.

Saw the sun rise behind the Chase from the top of Art Hill.

Later, 10 AM. When I walked over to get a cup of coffee just now I saw 2 peregrine falcons circling each other above the hospital. I am very glad to see them! I thought of them during the very hot days of the summer and wondered, if they had any young, whether they could survive the heat up there on the cement ledge of the hospital in the hot sun. Maybe the young didn’t survive but the parents are still there.
