Monday sights

When leaving the house I saw a groundhog, a big round healthy fellow, he scuttled off and away-was glad to see him. While at a stoplight I saw a man on a bicycle try to jump the curb into the park- he fell and his front wheel came off! He was alright, though, dusted himself off and gathered the wheel. Driving through the park saw a painted turtle in the road next to the curb, trying to find a way up out of the street. So I stopped and carried her over to the creek and waited until she went in. She because I think they must be out laying eggs now, which is why I’ve seen so many out and about, and a few run-over ones. I was glad I could see this one to safety though. Full moon today, and this evening we’ll join our friends in the park to see the great horned owl family- Charles and Sarah, Velvet and Christopher.
