Storms early this morning, I heard them approaching at 3 AM. By they time they reached us they were diminished, but I heard that some towns in the southwest of the state were hit pretty hard. It was already almost 60 degrees as I headed through the park, lots of bicyclists and happy dogs with happy owners. I opened all the windows so I could hear the red-wings calling as they fluffed out their epaulets. also heard killdeer, grackles, song sparrows. The water is high in the River Des Peres.
