On a walk today I saw a frog and a muskrat. I wonder if the critters know when a tornado approaches? Where do they go if they do? Our skies today held clouds light and dark but frequent sunshine, sprinkles this afternoon, and a rainbow.
Here’s the muskrat gathering fresh grass to line his/her? house. He (or she) carried it back across the stream to the opposite bank, where he dove down to access, I imagine, the entrance to a snug burrow dug into the bank.
Carrying the nesting material back across the water. A young man’s eye was also caught by the muskrat- he too paused to watch him work. And a mounted policeman was letting his horse eat the lovely fresh grass.
