Moving moon

In the midst of all the disorder of moving we went to the arboretum this morning to take a break. But first I saw the moon through the trees from a window in our new house after our first night there. It rained last night and clouds obscured it, a shame, the biggest moon, they say, in several decades.

At the arboretum, the glade looked superficially much the same as last week but when I looked closely I could see the beginnings of shooting star, pussies toes, and birdsfoot violet.

On the walk along the old limestone overhang we saw trillium,

aquilegia

snail

bloodroot.

And heard a mixture of spring peepers and bullfrogs! I think you can hear them in this “movie” I took with my camera. (nope, can’t do it without a video upgrade- maybe later)
